Another One of Chuck's Dreams is Coming True!!! :)

We decided to build our shop before we build our house. That was probably the only way it would happen. We can use it for storage since we are busting at the seams here at this house!



They started on it January 02, 2012 by digging the footers.

Front Door

I know we are a million years away from building, but I couldn't help but start picking out some of the "details". I feel kinda crazy, but I'm LOVIN it!! :)
Our front door will look more like the left picture but the glass will go all the way down like the right picture. L.O.V.E !!!

I think it will be stained a lil' darker too, but you get the idea.

Our House Plan....(rough draft ;))

The house will be a "mirror image" of this picture.




We found this plan on the internet and fell in love. We've "revised" it a tad already and I'm sure there will be much more we have to change from now and the time we start to build.

Let it SNOW!!

These pictures were taken January 10, 2011. Sheridans 1st BIG snow of the year.

I'm not sure if you can tell by these pictures, but our land, at this time, is about 75% cleared!!

Papaw's Tractor.....YAAAAAAY!!!

We borrowed a tractor from my Papaw Bill December 8 and was able to keep it for a week. We got SOOOO MUCH work done in that week. What we got done in that week with the tractor was about how much work we would have got done in a month, doing it by hand.
Wednsday, The Meltons helped for a few hours....Thank you Brian & Shawna!! :)
Thursday, Tony Sinyard helped us. We were able to cut down 12 'big' pines. Chuck used the tractor to push on the trees, while Tony used the chain saw to cut them down. That was awesome.



Our land is changing so much. Its so exciting!

Bringing Back the Old Days

After many tries of finding someone to cut our pines, We found the best of all....Mr. Larry Raper. He is a one man and two mules loggin team!! We were all very excited to have him cut our pines. One of the reason we loved him cutting our logs, was that there was a much less chance of him hurting our big beauitful oaks we have on our lot and not to mention, it was REALLY neat to watch.
He came out Monday morning September 27 and cut about half the pines off our lot with his chain saw. He came back the next morning and brought his 2 mules and skidded the logs out and then loaded them on his truck.
